With my Linksys E1200 i had the same problem and found a solution for it.
you have to unplug everything out of the router.
Before you plugin de power you have to hold the reset button and 'than' plug in the power button.
Hold the reset button for ad least 30 seconds and than release it.
Note: when you releas the reset button all the lights on the ports will blink for a few seconds and then go off only the light of
the wps will blink.
Connect your laptop to the router and you wil notice that you wil get an auto private ip address (apipa).
after you connected you have to do the same step again.
After the second time you can connect your laptop are your pc again and you will notice that you get the right ip of the router.
Than connect with your laptop are computer as usual treu the address bar.
In my situation i got the same message " Management Mode Firmware Upgrade page" and i browse for the firmware file on my laptop and after i press uograde i got a worning screen do not interupt.
After it finish i could login back in my router and do changes as usual.

Hi I also experienced same problem. my problem keeps showing same subject above and when I successfully loaded the updated firmware, when I logged to GUI, after click the administration tab. it keeps upgrading the firmware theres no way to disable that process. and after reboot or just turned off the router. when it turned, again back to same problem which showing Management Mode Firmware Upgrade page. It waste my money and time of always troubleshooting of this F$%^ router. I hate this model and firmware which developed by your engineers. LINKSYS worst ever now.. grrrrr....

Hi, saqib! We can better assist you if you can provide us the model number of the router, and the type of your ISP connection. Also, mind sharing more details about what happened?

I am now haviing this same issue.
I have a WRT54GS ver 6 running on a Windows 2012 srvr R2 and Windows 10 desktops/laptops.
The router had not been hooked up for a while. I plugged it into my laptop and was able to get logged in by going to 192.168.1.1. After that I did a factory reset on the router and now am no longer able to get to a login prompt at 192.168.1.1 it either times out or right after a reboot of both router and laptop it goes to Managment Mode Firmware Upgrade page. I have not tried to upgrade the firmware as there is no upgrade according to http://www.linksys.com/us/support-article?articleN
When I perform an ipconfig I get no default gateway. I've tried to flush the dns to no effect. I am pulling an Autoconfiguration IPv4 address of 169.254.90.223 with a subnet of 255.255.0.0 even though everything is set to obtain an IP automatically. There is nothing set to static.
WiFi is disabled on the laptop as well.
