401-Not Authorized to view 192.168.1.1

Help! I think my wireless router is all messed up.  Now I can't even view the webpage to see my router status.  Where do I go or how can I get access to view my router information?

Reset the router, pressing the reset button for 30 seconds. Afterwards you have factory default settings and the password should be "admin".

Re: 401-Not Authorized to view 192.168.1.1

I'm having this same problem, my desktop that is wired to the modem will connect to the internet. However, any of my wireless devices, my laptop card, xbox connector and wii will not detect my wireless signal. Also when I try to type in 192.168.1.1 in the browser it will not load the router page. Then I tried to connect the desktop to port 1 on the router and then unhook the internet and try to ping it. The prompt window stated that the device could not be found or something like that. I am wondering if my router just died on me or what, help would be greatly appreciated.

bkr5006: please don't hijack other threads. Start a new one. Your problem does not have anything to do with this problem in this thread. You don't get an 401 Not Authorized error message.
