I have Linksys router model no. WRT160N, which I have been using for three years. I need to add two iPads to my router but I do not know the network password. I am trying to access the router IP address 192.168.0.1 to find out the network password, but when I put HTTP://192.168.0.1 in my browser, I receive the message: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. How can I find out the network password? Thank you. -- John

Is the 192.168.0.1 the IP address of the computer you are using ? By default the IP address of the router is 192.168.1.1.

Some routers have the IP address of 192.168.0.1. Here is a screen shot to show you that is my router's IP address.
Thanks for the screenshot . try to do powercycle the router for 30 secs or use a different browser

Try using another computer. If that doesn't work or if there is no computer, powercycle the router. Just simply unplug the power cord of the router for 30 seconds and plug it back in. The link below might help.

Thanks for your help, but could you please tell me how to do powercycle the router for 30 seconds.
Just unplug the power cord from the back of the router and wait for 30 secs

I unplugged the router for 30 seconds and when I plugged it back in it resynched with the computer, which then allowed me to access the router IP address 192.168.0.1. Consequently, I found the password and my daughters were able to access the router and the internet with their iPads.
Thank you very much for taking the time to help us solve this problem. We really appreciate it. -- John
