Can I take my wireless router on vacation?

Newbie question, I know, but can I take my WRT160N to a friend's house and use it without much hassle? They have cable internet, but no wireless. Their cable provider is different from mine, if that matters.

Yes you may, but you need to reconfigure the router to work with their ISP's settings. Since you said that they are using cable, please refer to the link below for the procedure.

Hope this helps.

^Routers work but I doubt you could carry the Internet service with you unless they have Internet hooked up on their phone lines. Best to give your ISP a call and ask if they'd allow that.
