Can't Reset!

I forgot my password and i want to reset my router! i try holding the reset button for a minute and it doesnt reset! I disconnect the router for several minutes and still doesnt reset. I tried disconnecting everything and reseting but it doesnt work. Any other ways besides reinstalling everything

What model and version router do you have?

What you are going to have to do is download a self-install firmware and flash the router. This can be done by

1.holding the reset button down until the power light flashes

2.continue holding the reset button and unplug the router wait about 30 seconds

3.while still holding the button plug it back in and release the reset button this will put the router into maintenance mode

4.after it is in maintenance mode run the install

I am a Technician and have to do this two or three times a week for people who screw with their routers and cant get in to it. After getting into maintenance mode, I cant get back to the web interfacewith a reboot. Any suggestions?

Its a very common problem. Generally peoples push reset button 10-15 sec for reset that it not good enough to return your router to factory setting. So old the reset button this time at least 30-40 second. And try now for a new setting.
