Can the WBR-1310 works as an extender for WRT610N?

I have the WRT610N and would like to add an extender for the wifi in my house.

Does the WBR-1310 work? If yes, how do I set that up?

If it doesn't work, can anyone recommend any device that can give me a better range in the house?

Thanks

Re: Can the WBR-1310 works as an extender for WRT610N?

I believe WBR-1310 is a normal wireless G router. It connects the Wireless G Router to a broadband modem and wirelessly share your high-speed Internet connection. For more information about WBR-1310 you can visit to this link: http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=WBR-1310 .

Since you are using WRT610N and want to increase the wireless signals, for that purpose you can use Wireless-N Range Extender/Bridge (RE1000). Its features are:

• Wireless-N (2.4 GHz)
• Fast Ethernet (10/100) Bridge Port
• Extended range with multiple antennas
• Flexible wall or desktop placement options
• Also works as wireless bridge for wired device

You can even visit to this link for more information:

Ok, thanks for the information.

Do you mind explaning to me how does that work?

Does there needs to be an ethernet cable connected to it, or does it take the wifi signal and reboosts it?

Thanks for the help again

The Linksys Range Expander can be configured using the Auto Config button or by manual configuration through wireless or hardwired connection.  To configure the Range Expander through a wireless connection here is the link:

To configure the Range Extender manually here is the link:

To configure the Range Extender with the Setup CD that comes with the device here is the link:

Re: Can the WBR-1310 works as an extender for WRT610N?

I purchsed the extender 4 hours ago and I'm so happy I finally have wifi in my bedroom, something I was never able to acheive!

Thank you all for the contribution.
