Cisco Connect error 80004005 with E3200

I had Cisco Connect and USB printing off of the E3200 working, but now I'm getting an error and cannot print to HP Laserjet P1006 on my E3200's USB port. Cisco Connect has an error: Error code: 80004005 Model name: Linksys E3200 Model number: E3200 Serial number: Firmware version: 1.0.01 build 3 Operating system: Windows 7 Software version: 1.4.11145.0 Connection type (WAN): DHCP IP address (LAN): 192.168.0.253 IP address (WAN): 192.168.2.100 Computer IP address: 192.168.0.149 Any suggestions?

Try to reset and reconfigure the router .

Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds .

Power cycle the modem and router .

Re install the Cisco connect software.

Also make sure that firewall is turned OFF on your computers .

Re: Cisco Connect error 80004005 with E3200

[ Edited ]

- Factory reset on E3200 (30 sec button push)

- Windows 7 firewall off

- Cisco Connect full reinstall on Windows 7 x64

...does NOT fix the problem.

Cisco's custom USB printing driver installs, but then the 80004005 error comes up again and prevents the printer from being fully installed in Win7.

I am also getting this error.  My USB canon pixma ip5000 connected to a E3500 was working fine 2-3 days ago.  Was there an automatic update to the router software or something?

Your router is an EA3500, right? Is your printer connected via a wired or wireless connection thru your router? Are you using the Virtual USB feature or are you still using the Classic firmware? And what are the operating systems of your computer?

Re: Cisco Connect error 80004005 with E3200

Same issue on a brand new EA4500.

Error code: 80004005
Model: Linksys EA4500
Model: EA4500
firmware: 2.0.37.131047
OS: Windows 7 SP 1  64 bits
Versão do software: 1.4.12100.0

Printer works perfectly when I connect it to the computer using the same USB cable.

Performing a factory reset on a brand new router would not solve it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi, can you check if your printer is part of the supported list.

Re: Cisco Connect error 80004005 with E3200

I have the same issue on a WIn7 x64 system, but with a twist.  I can print to my iP5000 from other devices on the network, but can't get past this same error messages in CC.  I plugged the printer directly into my computer and it eventually downloaded the drivers and shows up in Devices and Printers.  I run CC again and somehow get the same error message.
