E1200 very slow wireless

Hello, new e1200,new comcast cable. After setup ran smooth on wired desktop, and on wireless laptop and netbook. Speed test 25MB.  Next day laptop went to a crawl. Speed test went from 25mb to 1mb, file download avg 25kbs.  Desktop still same, wireless netbook still 25MB.  Re-installed att dsl modem/router, laptop speeds normal for this service 5MB. I'm stumped any ideas? Bob

Go to 192.168.100.1 and look in the signal tabs. Could you post a screenshot?

This address,192.168.100.1,takes me to my comcast modem. You want the signal page from there? Thanks

What speed does the laptop give you when you check the network settings?

Re: E1200 very slow wireless

Thanks for your patience hiptechboy, settings speed is inconsistent , ranging form 13 to 130 Mbps, that I monitored for about 10min. I'll also add my upload speed is not affected by this issue, its about 5mb per speed test. Thanksspeed.jpg

Re: E1200 very slow wireless

Do you still have the problem when you are connected using an ethernet cable? It's kind of weird that only this computer experiences this issue and your 5mb upload speed stays the same. Also with that amount of signal strength, your speed shouldn't be fluctuating like that.

Re: E1200 very slow wireless

Weird is right. Ethernet hook up no issues. Re-installed my old Roswell router on the Comcast modem ,laptop speed Max 25Mbs. So it appears its the modem. Changed Channel settings from other thread , ch 6 250 kbps ,ch 9 2.5Mbs,ch 10 1Mps no change  Frustrating. Will try more channels manana. Thanks
