I'm trying to connect my E1500 after I've moved. I've been able to set it up in my dorm room fine before, but I've moved into a new building this year. With my school internet I have to go into the router's static IP and enter everything manually, but every time I go into it and enter the information it resonds with "Illegal Value." If anyone can explain how to go through these steps to set up it will greatly be appreciated.
I've taken down the below information from the modem to enter in

Unfortunately, I do not see the values here for the settings that you got from the new internet provider that you have. This router like any other Linksys routers uses Class C for the IP Address like 192.168.1.1 as well as the subnet mask and default gateway and DNS servers. I hope you can try to post here again the values that you have gathered. You may need to reset the router or use a modem to connect to wall so that this router can provide you wired and wireless internet.

Looks like you need to change the router's LOCAL IP address. The E1500 has a default IP of 192.168.1.1 which is basically the same IP as your school's router. Try the following:
1. Connect a computer to one of the E1500's ethernet ports. Do not connect the router to the wall patch yet.
2. Access the router's page (http://192.168.1.1).
3. Leave username blank and type "admin" for password.
4. Hit OK.
5. On the Setup tab, find the Router IP.
6. Change the third box from 1 to 2. The new Router IP should be 192.168.2.1
7. Save Settings.
You may then connect the router to the wall patch. Remember to leave Internet Connection Type to Automatic Configuration- DHCP. I don't think you'll need to enter the values you provided manually.
