It is the firmware issue, I believe your problem has been replicated before regarding the upload, but there nothing much we can do now until the engineers come up with the solution, if more of us complain via the tech support and ask them to lodge a case, they might fix it faster, at the moment it seems I was the only one who lodged a case with the download problem.
My suggestion is to have more people go for the live support and exert some pressure to get them to fix it, or get a full refund, if more of us ask for a full refund, the problem might be fixed faster.

What bothers me is that the techs seem to be aware of the problem but they are not honest about it. Everything would be fine if they made the old firmware file available for download. Then we could revert back to it and await a better firmware update.
The product started to get hit on Amazon. It used to have better ratings (including mine) a few months ago, before the update. The ratings are still good, but wait until a bunch of people start buying it and updating the firmware automatically.
Incidentally, I don't know if you remember but, when you are using Cisco Connect, the screen prompts you to install the new firmware update. I did, as I've always done for almost everything. When I told the tech about this, he stated that the company does not suggest an update without changing certain settings. He said the software didn't "prompt" you to update, only "suggested" it which is, frankly ridiculous.
Thanks for bringing it to the community's attention. You saved me a lot of frustration.

When the complaints go up mebbe they will do something about it, I didn't know that cisco connect would prompt the upgrade, I didn't use cisco connect, I upgraded it as a habit ![]()
The support techs can't do much, but if more of us go for the live support and make them lodge this case, maybe the new firmware would come out sooner, or as like my previous post ask for a full refund, which I am going to do by the end of feb if the new firmware is still not out.

I talked with online support and they passed my request along to email me the old firmware. We shall see where this goes.

Does the new firmware (1.0.0.3) released on 3/1/2012 fix this issue?

looks like it is a rollback , the version that was not working properly was 1.0.0.8
