E3000 unsecured guest access?

Why is guest access of my wireless network shows up as UNSECURED on the list of network available within range when I have set a password for guest access through Cisco Connect?

Re: E3000 unsecured guest access?

have you saved settings after you setup the password?

have you tried to connect to the guest account?

my only guess is,, because the password isn't belong to any encryption type (WEP,WPA, or WPA2), so your PC detect it as an unsecured, but actually it will ask you for the password.

sorry for double posting, i just stumbled on this article,,

it said that its true that guess account is unsecured, but once you in it, and you want to use internet access,, you have to open your browser engine and then you will be asked the password you set.

"Once you have successfully connected to the Guest network, you will be prompted for the password when you open a web browser.  Enter the password for guest access and click LOGIN"
