Successfully connected my USB WD10EAVS 1GB to the E4200 and was sharing the partition across the network. It was NTFS formated. After a couple of days of stable running I started to move some common files over to it and all of a sudden it locked up. Rebooted router and hard drive and the E4200 did not see the hard drive anymore. I then plugged it into my PC and I could not access the partition. I had to reformat it to get the system to see it again. I am now worried about using it with the E4200. Any thoughts on this?

I don't think that you should get worry about the router .
As its working now check the connection .
When you are not able to access the Hard Drive is your Internet working on your computers ?
What is the firmware version you have on your router ?

Firmware Version: 1.0.01
All other computers were accessing the internet and network just fine.

You have re-formatted the drive. Connect it to the router and use it through the router. I don't think you will face any issues.
You were not able to access the drive when you connected the drive directly to the computer. It might be the issue with the drive also.

Re-connected the same HD to the E4200 and so far no issues. Have been up for 4 days. Only doing a few file transfers at a time and not a massive one like I first did that caused it to lock up.
