Hi,
I have 2 X E4200 router, one is directly connected to the internet and the other is in the bridge mode connected to the first router.
I have apple TV connected directly with the bridge router on one of the Ethernet port.
I notice that when you start apple Airplay mirroring on the iPad2 both the routers will hangs with no reason and the only way to fix it is to reboot the routers. I have reset both the routers to factory default twice they both are running firmware 1.0.03 build 14 .
I have simulated this multiple times and it can be reproduce everytime.
The network is very simple, here is the diagram.
Internet ------ Cable modem ----- E4200 -1 ----------- E4200-2 ))) iPad2 connected wirelessly.

Hi All,
Same problem here, but not in mirror mode. I've already solved the problem by going backto version 1.0.02. The problems arose after upgrading to 1.0.03.
E4200 on 1.0.02
iphone ios5
Apple TV back to 3.4
good luck.

Same here, it took me a while to figure out it's the router.
Apple TV: 4.4. iPad 2: iOS 5
As soon as I click on the Airplay Mirroring ON I lose the Internet connection in my network (all computers).
Tried this 6 times and it's the router firmware for sure.
> Reboot router.
Don't want to roll back firmware because of UPnP AV server that I'm using with my Samsung Smart TV.
I hope Linksys will update firmware for the router soon.

Hi,
how did you downgrade to the previous version. I couldnt find a download link for the previous version anywhere...that would be superuseful for me...

I figured it out!
Well I figured out the fix, not sure what the setting is actually. ![]()
It's a QOS setting.
Steps:
1. Login to your router
2. Click on Application and Gaming
3. Click on QOS
4. Disable WMM Support
5. Done
Enjoy!
Mirroring working great now on my AppleTV!

if you are looking for the previous firmware, google (FW_E4200_1.0.02.013_US_20110524_code.bin) and you will get some links.
succes!

Hmmm...interesting. I looked into WMM once, and I found that it is recommended to leave WMM enabled for wireless-n:

But I guess the bottom line is "whatever works for you" *smile*.

Good info. I don't know what this mirroring is, but after updating my 4th gen Touch and 2nd gen Apple TV, simply trying to stream music from the Touch to the Apple TV would cause my E4200 to reset. I'm using the 1003 firmware, and it was all working fine before updating the Apple stuff. Anyway, your "Disable WMM Support" suggestion seems to have worked, so thanks for posting it
