Got the EA3500 a while back - was working perfectly fine for a month or so, and then decided to move it. Unplugged everything, moved it over to a shelf about 10 feet away, plugged it all back in, and it's all but useless now:
If I plug the internet cable from my DSL model into the 3500, and NOTHING else, wireless networking works. (Roku, Wii, etc. all start working.)
If I plug in a wired connection to ANY port, wireless stops completely, and the wired machine that I'm plugged into does nothing at all. Windows reports that it's "identifying" the network connection and such, but it cycles through that endlessly. A connection to the network never happens, much less the internet.
Tried multiple ports, none work. Tried resetting router. No luck. Unplugged it for a couple hours, still nothing.
When I have it plugged into a wired connection, the Cisco Connect software never fully loads - it just tells me that it didn't detect a connection, and to unplug everything for a couple minutes. Windows can't repair connection. IP never gets a new lease, and cannot navigate directly to the IP.
Anyone have all these lovely problems? If so, was it possible to get it going again?

Try resetting the router, uninstall Cisco connect and download Cisco Connect Cloud firmware or Non Cloud firmware from Cisco site. In case you will use CCC. The Cloud Benefits are: you can see what’s currently connected to your network, and connect more computers and devices. You will be able to access router settings from anywhere using any browser, even when you are away from home and that will keep your streaming media running smoothly in your home. You can even download and access apps from your network. And you have 2 options on how to set up that router using Cloud by using Cisco Connect software or to have a manual set up on that router.

Thanks for the tip: just got done trying that. Didn't work. The Cisco Connect software doesn't think it's connected to anything. I can remove the Internet (dsl) cable and the cable that goes from my computer from the Linksys router and into the old D-Link: within seconds, everything is working again. The wired connections simply don't work anymore (and take out the wireless if you even try to use them.)
Any other ideas? Depending on how frustrated I get, I may go look for an elusive tech support email or phone number...haven't even seen either of those when searching for "support," though.
On the bright side:
1. I received this via the Amazon Vine program at no cost. (Had a favorable review at first, but I may be changing that.)
2. I didn't toss my old router... =)

Hello itjustdied,
You can uninstall Cisco connect software and download Cisco connect cloud firmware from here http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers
/EA3500. Just make sure to reset the router first before installing Cisco connect cloud. You also have the option to call tech support for this 18003267114.

Just a follow-up in case anyone has the same problem.
Unplugging all the cables, moving the router 10 feet away, then plugging all the cables back in killed it. It shouldn't have, but it did.
Luckily, Linksys realized this and I just received the replacement, under warranty, in the mail today. Don't think I should have had to pay shipping to get the old one to them, but at least I have a new (ok, refurbished) router again. One of these days, I might even swap it back into my network and take the ol' reliable D-Link out. =)
