Just a few things I've noticed with this build..
1.) If you reboot the modem, it seems to loose UPnP settings. I have to turn UPnP off then back on again in order UPnP to work normally.
2.) Probably petty but when I click the Disconnect button under Router Status, the page doesn't automatically refresh like it did with E4200v1. I have to manually refresh to get the connect button to appear. The refresh issue is also true within the mobile app. Again, not an issue with E4200v1.

Off, then On for UPnP helps? I've been having huge problems with UPnP....you may be on to something. I'll try it on mine (the identical twin E4200v2). Nothing UPnP works right. I hope you/'re right because it gives me hope.
Any Linksys developers reading this? Sounds like faulty variable initialization at power up with regards to UPnP.

I'm now noticing that UPnP seems to be broken regardless of the reboot. After a day or two it breaks. This needs to be fixed ASAP or I will go bonkers! ![]()

I switched back to my old Dlink router as both 2.4 and 5 bands wireless connections are unstable. No matter what you adjust the wireless/MTU settings, the connection will drop for few secs and come back.

Exactly my issue! Unfortunately I don't have another router to go back to. I knew my connection was dropping because my scan to printer icon would pop up saying no connection and then go away. So far, using 2.4 b/g seems to be the only thing that seems to be somewhat stable for me. It sucks to have to go back to b/g.

I have a PS3 that reports UPNP errors with the EA4500. If I disable UPNP, wait a minute, enable it and retest it will work. A short while later my game connections drop. I test the UPNP from the PS3 again and it fails. Repeat the process and I can game for another hour or so.

Hi OhioCiscoTech, I believed this link will help your connectivity problem. http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=

I spoke with tech support. Did not get the answer I hoped. I had a Cisco sa520 that worked flawlessly with four Xbox and a ps3 with no port forwarding and UPNP enabled. with the brand new EA4500 tech support gives me this info:
Tech: It works effectively if the ports are opened and you assign a static IP on the PS3. Also as a default, UPnP should be set to disabled.
Me: I have several XBOX's on my network that require UPNP to be enabled. I am frustrated that simply switching to the EA4500 has presented so many challenges. Disabling UPNP and port forwarding to the PS3 will break the XBOX's need for UPNP
I would return the Linksys if I had known 2 days ago, now I am out of my 30 day return policy.
MOD NOTE: Tech ID and name removed.

@OhioCiscoTech , I think there should be specific ports assign to each gaming devices. ![]()
