Everybody knows EA6700 has been released in EU today.

(almost $100 expensive than EA6500)

I was waiting for it badly because I wanted to replace my EA6500.

But spokesperson from linksys announced EA6700 will not be available in the USA.

What the..............................

Are you going to release the higher model of EA6700?

First of all, I'm an early adapter.

The second is I want to use USB 3.0 instead of 2.0.

And some other reasons, such as comparing the CPU.

You do realize your will never see USB 3.0 speeds, and even now you never see USB 2.0 speeds on any router.

@sabretooth:

USB 2.0 is 480 mbits/s. theorical. Wifi 802.11ac is 867 to 1300 mbits/s. theorical.

So yes, USB 3.0 plug will be faster on the 6700 at least twice the speed on wifi or via the 1Gigabit switch. Thank you.

You don't understand.  Using the USB port on the router with a thumb driver or something, there is nothing that can transfer 480Mbit/sec right now.  The router's main function is to route.  Move data between ports and wireless.  The USB port is just for small convenience.
