Re: Enter PIN_Where?

PIN no. is located on the router. Flip the router upside down and underneth the router you'll find the Linksys Logo with the model no. and S/N no. Below you'll find the one lable with the PIN no.

Re: Enter PIN_Where?

Thank you for the reply.

With my router I have the WUSB600N which gives a PIN for installing.  It would appear that the button on top of the WRT600N was never activated as second choice was to insert the PIN of adapter into the router.

So the question remains unanswered..............where does one insert the PIN for the USB adapter?

Secondly since I was making changes going from VISTA to WinXP, and needed to try this again................it gave a different PIN than before.   Any thoughts as to why the PIN would change

Re: Enter PIN_Where?

Thank you for the response, but it is not what I asked.

I realize that the PIN is located under the router.

The question is related to the useage of the PIN for security on the network.

Both the router and the adapter have separate PINs and it instructs one to insert those numbers into the router for ID.  Can not find any location under wireless for a place to enter the PIN of the adapter(s).

Is there such a location within the router software?
