Firmware upgrade failed!

My router: WRT160Nv3

My Firmware Version: v3.0.02

Upgrade version: Ver.3.0.03 Build 3

I can not upgrade, always gives the same error message:

 Firmware upgrade failed!

I do not know what to do, does anyone have any tips to help me?

Thanks,

Re: Firmware upgrade failed!

Instead of going to the web interface, use this tool TFTP.exe

Re: Firmware upgrade failed!

My thanks for the help but I confess that I am not succeeding.
What would be or what would be my server and my password?
I tried several things but I could not install, and reset the router, reinstalled and still unable to update it.
Where am I wrong?

Thanks,
Jorpaes

Re: Firmware upgrade failed!

If you are upgrading the firmware of the router through TFTP utility, then the server will be the IP aaddress of the router and the password will be the password for login into the router management page. Here is the link upgrading the router’s firmware using the TFTP utility: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?pid=93&login=1&vw=1&app=search&articleid=24587&userrole=Links...

Before upgrading the firmware of your router, your computer must have an active Internet connection to download the firmware file.  Once the firmware is downloaded, you can proceed with the firmware upgrade even without Internet connection.

QUICK TIPS:

  • For stable connectivity and to prevent upgrade failures, make sure that your computer is connected to the router using an Ethernet cable.  Upgrading the firmware wirelessly may cause permanent damage to the router since wireless connection may be unstable during the process.

  • Use a different web browser if Internet Explorer doesn’t work or use a different computer to perform the upgrade.

  • Disable any computer firewall to ensure that the upgrade will not be disrupted.

  • Make sure that you have downloaded the correct firmware and version for your device to prevent technical problems that may damage the router.

Here is the link for upgrading the firmware via router setup page: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=e9c2361ee7974d75913e61386a712188_4030.xml&pid=80&r...
