the RESET button for the E1200 can be found on the bottom of the device. it's a tiny hole and you'll need a paper clip to push the button with. press and hold the button for 5-10 seconds. the Cisco light will go blinking, indicating that the device is rebooting. DO NOT power off the router. wait 'til you get a solid Cisco light instead. the router should be ready to setup from there!

Push and hold it for 30 seconds and release. Wait 10 seconds and power cycle the router. Connect via wired computer to 192.168.1.1 username blank, password 'admin'. Now reconfigure your router.

OK, I see the little button. After I push it, what do I do? I'm not a techie, just a consumer.
If you still have the CD, then run it on your computer. If you don't have it anymore and you can go online. Download Cisco Connect Software and run it on your computer. It would tell you everything you need to do to reconfigure the router and to setup a new name and password. To know how to download Cisco Connect, follow the link below:

The Parental controls feature of your router is currently enabled. This feature sets restrictions to the Internet or specific websites on particular computers and devices. You need to enter the Parental controls password. If you forgot your Parental controls password and can’t remember the answer to your Secret question, the only way to change the password is to manually reset your router to its factory default settings.
