What do you mean with "never loads"? Do you get an error message?
Possible problems could be:
- a modem/router uses 192.168.1.* as well: unplug the router from the modem and connect only a single computer to a LAN port of the router for configuration.
- incomplete pages: use Firefox or Internet Explorer.
- wrong IP address: with the router only connected to your computer, open a command prompt window ("Run..." and enter "cmd") and enter "ipconfig /all". Look for the ethernet adapter and note the default gateway. The default gateway is the IP address of the router.
If nothing works, you should consider resetting the router, press the reset button for 30 seconds. Afterwards it is back to factory settings.
