How do I disable my routers firewall?

Been trying to do this for a bit now. Need it turned off so I can host games online. have a WRT54G linksys wireless router.

There is no such kind thing on router for disabling firewall.
But u can open ports for particular application....u can find many post on port forwarding in forum.

-access the web ui of the router
 
-security tab - from there you can disable the firewall of the router
 
-if your hosting a game you need to port forward
-if you want to connect to a specific game port triggering

That firewall is different from other security on router.
on router we have NAT which block outside intruders. 
For running particular application it may require to open port.

You don't need to disable the NAT for this type of issue. Just assign a static IP on your pc, access your router setup page, then type the computer's IP address on the DMZ page. Better have a software firewall installed, you don't want people hacking your comp after this.
