How to Setup VPN with PPTP on E1200

Hello

I am trying to setup the VPN to use the wireless router but a bit confusded with the setting they say to use, this is what they say:

--------------------------

If your router/firewall supports PPTP pass-through, you should have no troubles connecting. Many routers/firewalls handle PPTP connections fine even though they do not explicitly advertise PPTP pass-through capability. Your firewall rules must be set up to allow outbound connections to our server IP on TCP port 1723 and IP protocol 47 (GRE).

-----------------------------

How do I setup the TCP and IP protocol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Hi, mlstomer. Just simply access your router ui then change the internet connection type to whatever want to do with your network. :-)

Hi uncledoc90. Simply access the router's user interface and change the Internet Connection Type to PPTP. If your PPTP connection supports DHCP or a dynamic IP address, then select Obtain an IP Address Automatically. To use a fixed IP address to connect to the Internet, then select Specify an IP Address and configure the details you will see on the setup page. However, the E1200 supports VPN tunnels using IPSec, L2TP or PPTP protocols as pass-through.
