How to connect to http://192.168.1.1.

Hello,
I have a WRT54G linksys router and I have trying to connect to http://192.168.1.1. You see a friend of mine had setup my router for me and didn't write down the new username and password of the server. Is there a way that I can find out what the username and password is? Your reply is much appreciated. Thank you.

According to the FAQs, leave the username blank and type admin as a password the first time yo login (you will change the password later).

Yes I tried that but it didn't work. My friend changed it and now he forgot what it was (he changed the pass and username a long time ago). Is reseting my only opinion?

Hi

U can try the above post tweak though if it doesnt go through then u have no other option but just to reset the router and reform all the settings again .

If the password admin doesn't work then try resetting the router reset button in such a way that power light is blinking on the router & then do a complete network power
cycle i.e., unplug the power cables from the modem & from the router &
then plug in the power cable to the modem first once all the lights are
solid green you could plug in the power cable to the router & check out
it will definately work!!
