So your saying the Guest Access and  Parental Control setups can be done from the webpage?

No, as you correctly pointed out in another forum, you have to use Cisco Connect as in the previous firmware.  So I am not sure why Linksys posted that item as an improvement over the previous firmware.

Re: Linksys E3000 Firmware Update 01/18/2011

So far, I like this firmware.  Seems very fast and snappy. Hope I had time to do somebenchmark tests, though, to make a real comparison.

I am getting nearly all of my provisioned speeds (43 down, 30 up) in both wired and on the 5 GHz network.

Linksys E3000 Firmware Update and Internet security

I recently purchased a E3000 based on the specs I found there:

http://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/1016512112.pdf

And we can clearly see the interface to manage the Access Restrictions (see page 33). This is a key feature for me as I need to prevent my kid from using the net during the week (school, homework, sleep time,...). Unfortunately, this section isn't present in the current version of my E3000 firmware and the only feature I got is "parental control" using Cisco Connect (actually quite poor!). In the userguide, it seems the version number is upper than 1.0.04.

Does one of you know if I can get this firmware?

Am I the only one?

Best regards

Sorry, everything is back to normal now. I did a hardware reset of my E3000 and went directly through the Web interface (avoid the Cisco Connect Parental control). It works actually very fine!
