When you type in the 198.162.1.1 in the browser page I know what the default is but I changed the username and password. I didn't write down the username just the password. Does anyone know how to get this information. I am now locked out of the administration page.
Press and hold the reseet button in back for 30 seconds. Release and wait 30 seconds. Now power cycle the router. Connect again at 192.168.1.1 username leave blank, password is admin. Reconfigure your router.
If you have installed the Linksys EasyLink Advisor, open it, click on the support tab and it should give you the router password...If you have not installed Linksys EasyLink Advisor then ther is no way to retrive your router password...You have to reset the router to factory defaults...
