My laptop is not picking up a signal from my router....help!

I just got a new Toshiba Satellite laptop and a Linksys WRT54GS2. I installed the software onto my PC and I named my network and made my passcode. All the software installed smoothly but when I go to my laptop and try to connect my network isn't showing up. What do I do now?

Is your adapter enabled?  Should be a button on the side and a light.  Check the device manager properties to make sure the adapter is installed correctly.

Make sure that the wi-fi switch of the computer is turned ON...Open the linksys setup page by typing 192.168.1.1 in the address bar...Under the Wireless tab,Change the Wireless Channel to 11-2.462GHz and click on save settings..Under the wireless security subtab...check the security key....If you are using WEP security then, use the Key1 as the network key.
