no idea.  but 01 is best for LAN speeds from what I have read.  Even the DD-WRT guys say so.

For best WiFi coverage, firmware v1.0.02 has worked fine. I upgraded from v2 to v3 when it came out but I experienced all the issues reported here by others users. I also payed attention to WiFi coverage on v3 and measured with network Stumbler that the signal level was degraded in certain places in my house, places where I did not have any issues with v2. As soon as I got back to v2, the coverage went back to normal. Give it a try!

I am happy to have chance to use Linksys E4200 router.

The OEM version of the TwonkyServer is built in it. This is very much helpful to watch media content via TV set connected (I use Panasonic 32DT30).

There is merely one matter I would like you to solve.

Here is, please, look at the sequence of what I am doing:

  1. copy JPG pictures to USB flash drive (one JPG picture with no folders or many JPG pictures located in many folders it does not matter). I tested various flash drives.
  2. insert the flash drive to the router Linksys E4200
  3. choose “Twonky Media Server” on TV set 32DT30
  4. picture or pictures are opened in resolution 120x160 pixels regardless of the resolution of the original picture (if the usb flash drive is connect back to a PC or directly to the TV set the pictures are viewed in original resolution).

I would highly appreciate that if you could help to solve the problem.

Samokhin, good find! this user community is not monitored by the appropriate test lab Linksys staff. Could you please call Cisco or live chat and have a ticket opened. This is the only way to get your issues in front of the propped staff so that we can get this firmware fixed....join the masses....o we can get this resolved! Thanks!

Guys do not kid yourself, Cisco knows all the troubles V1 has, and they know what is written on this site. They were referred to these post numerous times, plus you don’t think they would monitor a site that bears their name. I know if someone had a site with your name you would monitor it.  If a cisco employee was to join in the discussion he/she knows they would get flamed. They want you to believe they are unaware, and love it when people say they do not monitor these sites. They do and did answer the problems with V2.  V1 was the beta test, and everybody got hook on paid advertisements that look like reviews. I can tell you this is my last Cisco product ever. And you know V1 has a problem, because V2 is a total overhaul.

I agree open a ticket with support. After my second call my router was replaced under warranty . The new router has been stable for over two weeks so far!

When playing online games we notice constant disconnects ever since upgrading the firmware to 1.3<somthing>.

Is this version of the firmware compatible with version 1 of the router?
