I have been trying to find and download the lastest E4200 firmware via the Cisco/LinkSys Support site for a couple of hours.
Will someone please proivde me with the direct link to the download page?

Thanks in advance.

You can go to http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/E4200 then Downloads tab, then select version 1.0 and you will see 1.0.04 which is the latest.  If you want an older version, they must be found from other users who have them saved before.

NOTE: If it doesn't work for you, try another browser/version.  Because this does NOT work for me with IE9 but it does work with Chrome.  I think something's broken with IE9 and/or Linksys's website.

External HD Samsung S2 don't work any more.
I waited 24h to recognize and didn't work my media center.

Re: Official E4200 Firmware (v1.0.04 (Build 11)) Feedback Thread

I know the E4200 v1 doesn't have the horsepower (faster CPU) as the E4200 v2 and the newer EA4500, but I'm so glad we were able to procure three E4200 v1's to use as WAPs.  The v1's are becoming so scarce.  Even ones you buy right now off the shelf thinking they are v1, the units inside the box end out being v2.

It's not that the v2's and EA4500 aren't really good routers (I'm just assuming as I have no experience with them), I just really like the ability to install DD-WRT or Tomato if necessary down the line.  Cisco will stop supporting the v1 very soon.  I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't further firmware updates on the roadmap.

I am writing this because I hope that Cisco changes their mind and begins using Broadcom chips again as DD-WRT and Tomato will never support Marvell chips.

Please Cisco...  don't give up on Broadcom.  Compatibility with DD-WRT and Tomato is very important to a lot of folks.

Try re-formatting the hard drive.  Better yet, make sure there aren't any old config files (user/password/directory info) or directories (Twonky stuff) on it from previous firmware releases.

Ahh when are we going to get 1.0.05 (if ever)?  I need the fix for WPS but later versions of the firmware have that 80mbps WAN bug

Counsil, This is a Joke? I will format my HD because CISCO did something wrong? I bought CISCO or other brand?
About old files, nothing is in HD, I erased this files.
Trying put the HD to work, I realized that HD was hot and stop to work.
I will try do a downgrad to 1.0.01, because in this version HD work good.

Downgrade was my solution to Media Center.

Downgrade 1.0.4 to 1.0.1

Version 1.0.04 keeps locking up an iPhone 4s iOS 5.1 (GSM model). Device then needs a reboot and the first reboot says 'no wifi". A second reboot resolves this issue. I am not able to reproduce this issue on other wifi hotspots.
