Bug/undesired behavior found:
Unable to delete configured QoS applications if "Internet Access Priority" is disabled.
Enable QoS, enable Internet Access Priority
Set manual stream bandwidth to appropriate value (80% of max upstream for example)
Create rule, custom configuration for application
Apply, save settings
Once back on this page, disable Internet Access Priority, save settings
Now attempt to delete configured rule and save settings - when the page refreshes the rule is still in place. Unable to remove that configured rule until Internet Access Priority is once again enabled.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but this is my second brand-new device and I've had this happen on each device. What happens is that I'm connected, doing everything on the internet, listening to my music on Spotify, connected to my employer's VPN, when all of a sudden it's like there is no more internet. My music stops, I can't browse to any pages, yet my VPN connection doesn't drop.
After about 2-8 seconds of unresponsiveness, everything all of a sudden comes back. My pages load, my music comes back on, I can browse to pages and everything.
Sure, I've messed with MTU settings, channels, all that, but it still happens. It's almost like the router hits a bottleneck in processing, and everything then spills back through after the hiccup.
Again, 2 devices, brand new, same symptoms on each. This never happened with my WRT610Nv1, which I had before this one. I suspect that it's firmware related. I"m running v2.0.36.
Pretty annoying, and seems to happen about once an hour. There are no changes in router status, all that.

So i just bought a "v1" today from wally world. Box does not say it is a v2, however, when i set up the router it had the 2.0.26 firmware loaded. Did a firmware upgrade from the admin interface and it upgraded to the 2.0.36 firmware version. Serial number starts with 01C1360 - a minor difference from the 01C1060 you noted before. To that end - is it a v1 or a v2 ????
The model number will say "v2" after it. Look on your box.
Look at the serial number - if it starts with 01C1060 you're on a v2.
Look at your firmware version on the router - if it's 2.0.36, you're on a v2. The V1 routers are still on 1.x firmware (as of today anyway).

If you were able to upgrade to the 2.0.36 firmware it's definitely a v2, as the v1 is a different chipset (broadcom) from the v2 (marvell), and 2.0.36 wouldn't be able to load on the v1. Also, I don't think the v1 can do firmware upgrades automatically--I believe that's something that is unique to the v2.
You're not the first person I've heard of having this happen. Enjoy the free upgrade--unless you were hoping to load 3rd-party firmware, in which case you won't be able to (again, the broadcom vs. marvell question).
If you're okay with the stock and don't have any bugs, it's a great upgrade.

Unfortuantely, they did not correct the Port 53 issue. If you go to Application & Gaming and select Port Range Forwarding, then add Port 53, you will no longer have Internet access on any devices connected to the router wirelessly. The wireless connection remain - just no access to any site.
I mentioned this on no less than 3 occasions to tech support last month.
You cant port forward 53 to an xbox. Port 53 is used for DNS servers. This is not an issue.

Honestly, I'm not surprised at the lack of markings. As the original E4200's clear out of the distribution channel and retail markets, I have no doubt that Cisco/Linksys will drop the v2 moniker from the hardware and given the number of reports just like yours it seems they may have already done so.
Given that only the v2 routers will currently run the 2.0.36 firmware, it's safe to say you're running a v2 rather than a v1.

Anyone having issues with Netflix using AppleTV (v2, blackbox) while having a WAN connection to a VPN service using PPTP?
Also, now that we have PPTP WAN available, maybe we can get OpenVPN for WAN?
