Setting Up Static IP WRT54G V6

Hey all,
I have a linksys wireless router WRT54G Version 6 and want to set up static ip's to the computers I have.  I have to run DHCP on the router to get the internet to work, but I dont know how to set up each computer as static LAN IP.  I mean if i set each computer as a static IP I designate do I need to do anything in the router or will the router recognize this?  Also, when setting the computer as static do i have to use DNS servers?  My goal is i need to port forward, and to do that I need to set up static IPs (I would assume, im not all that experienced in this field).  Thanks all!

No, you won't have to touch the router. If your static IP addressing scheme is correct and you're in the right subnet, the router will happily route the traffic.

Also, when setting the computer as static do i have to use DNS servers?

Without DNS IP address, you can't translate domain name to an IP address so yes, you'll have to enter DNS IP addresses in the Primary and Secondary DNS IP settings. Oh btw, look at your TCP/IP properties to enter static IP, subnet, and gateway. Assuming default Linksys IP addressing scheme is 192.168.1.1 with subnet 255.255.255.0, you can assign the following static IPs on your PCs:

1st PC
IP: 192.168.1.2
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS (find out from your ISP)

2nd PC
IP: 192.168.1.3
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS (find out from your ISP)

etc

If I remember correctly, Linksys DHCP IP block starts from 100 to whatever. That leaves you .2 up to .99 to use as static IPs.
