My laptop doesn't see my 5GHz network, only my 2.4GHz network. My Xbox 360 and my Blackberry recognize them both. Doesn't N only work on 5GHz? My laptop has an Atheros AR9825 wireless adapter. Thanks...

You need to check if the Wireless Adapter on your computer is compatible with 5Ghz or not. You can check the Hardware specification of your wireless network adapter.
If you are not able to see 5Ghz wireless network on your computer, then the wireless adapter is not a 5GHz compatible adapter. If you wish to connect to a 5Ghz wireless network, then you need to get a Dual Band Wireless Adapter for your Laptop.

Go to the Control Panel and open the Device Manager (you can also just click Start and type Device Manager in the search line). Under Network Adapters, right click on your wireless card and select Properties. Click on the Advanced tab. Here, you will see a bunch of entries listed in the left hand column. At the top of the list, you will be able to see how many bands your laptop's wireless card has. If the computer has two bands, then you will see the following two entries:
A quick google search for your wireless card reveals, however, that it is indeed only a single band (2.4GHz) wireless adapter, which explains why you can't see the 5GHz SSID.
