Trouble Hooking up E2500 Wi-Fi Router

I just purchased this router and am having trouble hooking it up to my old HP Pavilion a1250n PC-I am currently using a wireless broadband card to access the Internet-Directions tell me to connect the router to my modem.  I have no external modem.  Do I have to obtain one?

You probably have DSL service right? Then follow these instructionsions here.  You may have a direct connection with no modem if something like ATT fibre dsl.

You need to have a modem to make this router working. For some other ISP's they do not provide a modem but there should be an ethernet line coming from your wall and that should be connected to your router. If the only internet source you have is the wireless broadband card, then this router would not work with it.
