Just purchased the E4500 today and install failed on both machines. Install starts and then fails to finish.
I have contacted support via chat and was given manual instructions and the router will not connect to either machine.
Are there known issues with the Cisco Connect software not installing?
The chat support person finally dropped out of the chat and the router remains in an unusable state.
I currently had to cable wired connection of laptop to get an internet connection.
Thanks for your help in advance!
Very frustrated and do not agree with the manual settings given by Chat Support.

hmm that's wierd . Have you disabled the security of your computer ?

I was asked to allow acces through the firewall and allowed acess.
I will also disable Microsoft Security Essentials and reset the router to factory defaults and attempt to install again tonight.
Thanks for all the replies!
I like such an active forum to work with!

Great progress tonight.
Reset router.
Turned off DSL, router, and Win7 machine.
Turned on in the order.
Cisco Connect ran on Win7 with 5Ghz N USB and updated automatically and firmware was updated.
Was able to connect Win7 with success and Boxee Box by DLink (2.4 Ghz).
Dell Laptop uses Intel ProSet for wireless and failed to connect. Just for kicks tried to connect as guest... it worked fine as guest. It is G built in and must have something to do with security settings. It is 2.4Ghz. The Dell 630 does not like anything but numeric security code so I entered device number and it talks to router to get settings and then fails.
Why does Cisco Connect name both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz the same name by default? Would like a 2 or 5 behind SSID.
Once again Thanks for the support and suggestions. We are making progress!

It just works that way. I guess they never bothered changing it. You will have to manually rename the 5GHz SSID.
