WAG160Nv2 v2.00.21 Port Forwarding

[ Edited ]

Hello my main problem is that i haven't been able to setup port forwarding.

WAG160Nv2 Firmware V2.00.21 (Annex A i think)

configuration:

  • single port forwarding : all OFF
  • port range forwarding: 40000 to 54000 both protocols to PC's ip
  • PC connects with static IP below 192.168.1.100 from which the router's DHCP server starts
  • port range triggering : all OFF
  • QoS (Quality of Service): all OFF
  • DMZ: OF
  • Access Restrictions: Disabled
  • SPI Firewall/ Filters/ Block WAN Requests: all OFF
  • VPN Passthrough: OFF
  • AP Isolation: OFF
  • NAT: ON
  • RIP: Disabled
  • uPnP: OFF (tried combinations with ALG)
  • IGMP Proxy: OFF
  • SIP ALG: OFF (tried combinations with uPnP)
  • already have pressed reset for a long time after firmware update, lost every setting (how many seconds do i have to press it? (i must have tried 30+) Does Factory Defaults do the same thing?

How i checked:

  • Transmission (torrent program): use uPnP or NAT-PMP from router is OFF, port used = 40101, testing port shows closed
  • nmap -p 40000-54000 -T4 -A -v 192.168.1.1   which gives "...All 14001 scanned ports on 192.168.1.1 are closed..."
  • EDIT: also checked http://www.canyouseeme.org/ AND http://www.portchecktool.com/
  • EDIT: did: netstat -lnp|grep 40101 on my PC
    tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:40101           0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN      26429/transmission-
    tcp6       0      0 :::40101                :::*                    LISTEN      26429/transmission-

Thanks a lot in advance

What is your internet IP address, tsester? I am thinking that there's a double NAT on your network. If you're getting a private WAN IP address, I suggest that you contact your ISP and have your current subscription change to full bridge mode. After that, configure the router again based on the new settings and see if it will resolve the issue.

Thanks! What happened whenever you try to configure port forwarding? Can you provide more details about the trouble?

ok. here's some info:

after i configure wag160nv2 it doesn't throw any error and just refreshes the screen: (screen after) http://imgur.com/AAohqfv

I then try "Transmission" torrent client : http://imgur.com/PGpSzR6

netstat (following some post on the internet): http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=k18bf8R2

and

nmap on the ports opened: http://pastebin.com/rUVFWcs9

Your port scan to the router LAN IP Address won't provide anything useful because it's the WAN side that has the opened ports.

Did you disable "Block Anonymous Internet Requests" under Security => Firewall?

What is the first two digits of your router's WAN\Internet Port IP Address provide by the ISP?

Ex: 50.100.x.x

That could be your ISP gateway instead of your router. Please look in the router section "Status => Gateway => Internet Connection".
