I believe I have solved the issue.

I was narrowing down an issue with the 17 PCs, Laptops and smartphones that I have connected to the router, Lan and Wireless.

All my Windows 10 machines would not load pages in IE fast or load at all while my Windows 7 machines are fine.

Smartphones always lost internet while still being connected to the router.

I ran into something like this years ago when IPv6 started showing up in modems and Routers.

Well, I turned off the IPv6 in the Router forcing it only to use IPv4.

And what do you know, all is fixed and fast. Smartphones are smartphones again!!!

I even went a step further and unchecked IPv6 in the NIC driver on the Windows 10 machines.

My family LOVES me again no more lag loading Facebook. LOL

You would think by now IPv6 should be fully implemented by now but I guess not.

Re: WRT3200 Connection issues

I don't see a way to change to IPv4 in the router setup screen. I looked in the Connectivity window and in the Internet Settings tab I can't configure it to only use IPv4.

You don't change it, you have to click on the IPv6 tab and then hit edit then uncheck enable IPv6

Ah. Found it. What's going to happen when IPv6 is necessary?

So far it hasn't been an issue. They say it's like 20 years out before it's fully implemented.

Re: WRT3200 Connection issues

Why would this issue only happen with certain web sites?

I don't believe it's the website, more like the ISP Internet Service Provider (theirs and/or yours) doesn't support IPv6

Re: WRT3200 Connection issues

But I can connect to that Web site for a day or so, then this problem occurs.

Re: WRT3200 Connection issues

The router will try to resolve the connection issue between IPv4 and IPv6 but it seems it's not perfect.

Once Linksys recognizes this, hopefully they will have a firmware fix. But I'm not holding my breathe.

So you're suggesting that the website of concern might not be set to handle IPv6, and this router sometimes fails to rollover to IPv4 automatically when needed?
