WRT54G Configuration Menu Blank

When I try to access the Router Configuration for my WRT54G by typing in 192.168.1.1 into my browser: the log-in pop-up appears, I enter my (correct) user name and password, but the following is just a completely blank white page. How can I get at my configuration menu?

Re: WRT54G Configuration Menu Blank

Sounds like my problem - see this thread:

http://forums.linksys.com/linksys/board/message?board.id=Wireless_Routers&message.id=39066

Unfortunately I don't have a solution.

I had the same problem sorta...

I was trying to go 192.168.1.1/admin ... if you enter an unrecognized URL, then the router gives you a blank page SO dont put anything after the ip address

micromuncher - I haven't been putting anything after the IP, so I don't think this is the problem. But thanks for the tip.

cel - sounds just like my problem, thanks for directing me. I hope you can find a solution.

Re: WRT54G Configuration Menu Blank

To view the router's web pages:

Use Internet Explorer, it usually works.
JavaScript must be enabled.
Use a computer that is wired to the router.
In the non-working computer, temporarily turn off your software firewall.  Note that some Zone Alarm users have had to uninstall the firewall to get it turned off.

jamaicajonmon - Does power cycling the router temporarily fix the problem, as it does for me? Which hardware version do you have? Which firmware?

Re: WRT54G Configuration Menu Blank

What I have just discovered is if your running zonealarm and the popup blocker is set.  Turn it off.  It blocks the menu selections.

This may be the same for other firewalls.

Re: WRT54G Configuration Menu Blank

You have to enter the routers user interface by typing in http://192.168.1.1 into your browsers address field any by default the user is left blank and the password is admin.  I didn't see anyone say http:// before the IP address or the default settings for the router.  Also download the tftp.exe file from linksys and update the firmware if you are not able to do it manually.
