WRT54G Problems - Wired Connection Works But Not Wireless

Hi, I have a WRT54G wireless Linksys router and the wired connection works (ethernet cable), but there's no wireless signal. It used to work and then one day I unplugged it to clean up the wires and it never worked again.

Cany anyone help me... thanks!

Upgrade the firmware. Reset the router after.

Re: WRT54G Problems - Wired Connection Works But Not Wireless

What is the operating system on your wireless computer?

Can you see any other wireless network on your computer? If it is laptop then make sure that wireless switch on the laptop is turned ON.

Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. open the Internet browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1.  Log in to the router setup page.

Click on wireless tab. Check the wireless network name SSID, change the wireless channel to 11 and make sure that SSID broadcast is enabled. Save the settings.

Go to wireless security sub tab. Check the wireless security settings. Try to connect to the wireless network and see if that works.

Make sure that the firmware on your router is latest. if not then download the latest firmware from Linksys website and upgrade it on your router.
