WRT54G with directional antenna

I would like to attach a directional (14-19 dBi) antenna to one of the connections on the WRT54G while keeping the omni antenna on the other. Can anybody share experience or recommendations?

My aim is to reach an other building about 350' away while keeping the present service.

hi, you will need a high gain antenna like the HGA7T which is compatible with your router.

a diferent manufacturer antenna can be used on the WRT54G or you must use LinkSys 7dBi HGA ?
There are manufactures that also produce HGA antennas more "powerfull", I mean with 12,15 and 17Dbi and I thought it could be used on WRT54g if they have the same interface....

thanks

Thanks. I found the HGA antennas at Wallmart.
