Where to change my WEP or passphrase?

I'm on my linksys config login page and I'm trying to find where I would reset or creat a new passphrase.  I have model WRT54G v2.2.  I'm wondering if it's called something else on here.

Thanks.

I looked up FAQ, would it be under

"Setting up Wireless Security on a Wrt54GS?" or "Setting up WEP with a Linksys Wireless Adapter in XP"?  I run XP.

Re: Where to change my WEP or passphrase?

Access the router setup page by 192.168.1.1 - Leave the username blank and enter the password "admin" (without quotes).

By default you'll be on the Setup tab, Click on the Wireless Tab besides setup.

Here you'll find 1. Wireless network mode : mixed.

2. Wireless Network name SSID : assign a unique name or Linksys (default).

3. Wireless channel: 6 (default)

4. Wireless SSID Broadcast: Enable.

Under the wireless tab you'll find a sub tab "wireless security".

Check the security mode : wep/wpa/...

Below the security mode you'll find the password/passphrase.

Below the passphrase you'll find 4 keys.

the keys on key1 will be your password - you can change it if you like to.

Re: Where to change my WEP or passphrase?

Try these steps access the web interface of the router with http://192.168.1.1 and password as "admin". Click on the Wireless tab
- Here Wireless Network mode should be mixed
- Provide any name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box, all in
lower cases without any spaces in between.
- Set wireless channel to 11
- And wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on save
settings.
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the `
Network Identifier.
For Wireless Security : -
Now Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security.
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP
Encryption should be 64 bits.
Leave the Pass phrase blank, don't type in anything.
And under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please.Click on save
settings.
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the
Wireless Network.
