Seeing as research has revealed the E4200v2 and EA4500 have almost identicle hardware, I was wondering if anyone can tell me whether it's worth returning my still shrink-wrapped E4200v2 and waiting a while to purchase the EA4500 here in the UK.
I found two sources that seem to verify my wishful thinking:
If someone can clarify this for me I'd be much appreciated.

As if now Cisco Cloud will only be available for EA – series router. There is no such information that it will work for E4200 router. You need to wait for the release of the Cisco Cloud.

No, because it is not one of the newly released Linksys Smart Wi-Fi APP-enabled routers.
Better get your hands on them if you want the Cisco Cloud. I myself am looking forward to that feature.

Sorry, I have to correct myself:
YES it will be available for your E4200v2. Cisco Connect Cloud is for Smart Wi-Fi Router portfolio (EA-series and newer models) However, E4200 v2 users will be able utilize it through a firmware upgrade.
Many thanks! Source?

Judging from the fact that E4200v2 and EA4500 load identical firmware, for all practical purposes, it seems the EA4500 v1.0 actually IS a rebadged E4200v2.

EA4500, EA3500 and EA2700 as well E4200 v2 will be App enabled and will use cisco connect cloud,. But for E4200 v2 I think will launch it on a later date.
