Try the following steps to access the router setup page :-
Open an Internet Explorer browser page >>> Tools >>> Internet Options - General : . Click on Use Blank button . Click on Delete Cookies and Ok of the confirmation box . Click on Delete Files and check the option Delete All Offline Contents and click Ok - Connections : . Select Never Dial a Connection . Click on the LAN Settings button . I did a Windows Update, found out Vista Service Pack 1 had disappeared - I don't know why because I had installed it before, or is this already a new one ?
Anyway after the lengthy wait for the installation of the Service Pack,
I tried again to type 192.168.1.1 in my Internet Explorer and it works,
I have access to my router setup page.
Man I'm glad this is solved.
So I'll keep the IE 7 and not move back to the 6.
Thanks for your help and support , going to bed now it's past midnight here but I'll sleep better knowing this is solved. **bleep** Microsoft again, I was this close to resetting my Linksys router ... for nothing.
