e2000 as repeater?

I just purchased 2 E2000 routers at BB and was assured the second one could be configured as a

repeater access point.

Some current messages indicate this is not possible.

Will a Cisco moderator please confirm and clarify repeater options.

This forum is community. No responses from Cisco.

Linksys routers only operate as access points. You must use a ethernet cable to hook it up.

Re: e2000 as repeater?

It is possible to turn this router into a repeater if you install third party firmware such as DD-WRT. I'm pretty certain this would void any warranty though.
