Re: how to find network password

What do you do if you can't log into the router admin page, and the Cisco software doesn't work. I type in 192.168.1.1 and get the login screen. I left the user field blank, and typed in admin in the password field, nothing happens. This is a router reset to factory defaults by the way. When I try to run the set up software cd, it just clocks at "updating settings" or something like this.

Re: how to find network password

Do a 30-30-30 just to make sure you reset it fully. Remove Cisco connect. Clear your browsers history and cache. Hard wire your computer to your router then try logging in. If it still fails, try a different browser.

Re: how to find network password

Are you the owner of this wireless network you are trying to connect to? If you are not, then ask the owner for the password.

Re: how to find network password

Basically, the only way for you to connect to a wireless network (secured) is by asking the network administrator or owner of that wireless connection. If the network is secured, that means he doesn't want anybody else to connect to his network because of security purposes.

Think of it like a key to a locked door. You gotta ask the key first before you can enter with the owner's permission. My two cents.
