reset router

Hi,

My internet was out, and during a diagnostic process, I reset the router.  I didn't have a password on my wireless internet, but now the internet works, but not my wireless router.  I can get to my internet by plugging directly into the cable modem, but I believe the Linksys wants a password.  I've tried to follow the instructions I've found on this site, by going to 192.168.1.1 and resetting using the admin user name and password, but 1) the page doesn't load, and 2) since I'm not accessing the internet through my router, how's that gonna help?

Thanks,
