WAP54G in AP-Client mode

I am trying to get a pair of WAP54G's to work as an AP / AP-Client pair.  No matter what I try, they simply will not talk to each other.  Four hours with live chat tech support did not help either.  They ended up calling me back saying that AP-Client mode does not work with WPA or WPA2 security, only with WEP.

Well, WEP is pretty useless as far as security goes, so that is not an option for me.  Has anybody out there been able to make AP-Client mode work with WPA2 security?

No I am not able to get it working with WPA2, HOWEVER, using WPA-personal and TKIP or AES it works. Also I have to enable broadcast ssid otherwise they cant communicate.

I was able to get this to work, with a pair of WAP54G's in WPA security mode. With hidden SSID also. I've tried both AP client to AP configuration, and Bridge mode configuration. The problem I was having was, I would change the AP mode type from Access Point to AP client, or Bridge. Save Settings. Goto the wireless security tab, disable SSID broadcast. Save Settings. Then when you went into wireless security, and selected WPA personal mode or WPA2-P put in a passphrase and hit save settings, the continue box would come up, you'd click it, go back. It would show you what you put in. But going to any other page, and coming back to security would show it as disabled. The only security mode that would work was WEP. So I changed it to WEP saved the settings. ONLY THEN could you choose WPA save it and have it save. I don't know if this is just a problem with the firmware, or an unintended usage workaround. But either way, I'm passing traffic, the SSID broadcast is off, and WPA encryption is on. It'd be nice if someone at Linksys could verify this problem / solution, and advise. JR Lewis.

(Edited for guideline compliance. Thanks!)
