Diagnostics page of router

Can I use the ping on the diagnostics page of theLRT214 router to ping the entries in the DHCP Clients table of the router?

Re: Diagnostics page of router

Next question, i'm a newbie with understanding subnet masks. Majority of clients listed in table have subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and they ping fine from diagnostics page. Two have mask of 255.255.0.0 and the ping fails from the lrt214 diagnostics page. Does that sound right? What could I do, if anything, to make the ping succeed?

Subnet mask 255.255.0.0 is huge and isn't typically required. If you used this class B Subnet mask it could case conflicts with many other IP Subnets if you don't know how IP Subnet masks work. I recommend always using 255.255.255.0 because it's easy to understand and hard to make mistakes with it.
