LGS308 LACP/LAGing with a Synology 1515+

Hi I bought a LGS308 as it stated Link Aggregation support in a hope to get a bit more network performance out of my NAS. I believe I had set both ends up correctly. I set up an aggregation of 3 ports to the Synology and 3 ports to my iMac with the builtin ethernet and 2 thunderbolt Ethernet adapters. On port 8 it runs out to a TP-Link 4300 Router which is bridging to a Synology AC1900 Router over 5GHz A/N The Link Aggregation screen shows the following:

PortPort TypeStatusAuto NegotiationPort SpeedDuplex ModeProtected PortLAG
GE11000M-copperUpEnable1000MFullUnprotected
GE21000M-copperUpEnable1000MFullUnprotected1
GE31000M-copperUpEnable1000MFullUnprotected1
GE41000M-copperUpEnable1000MFullUnprotected1
GE51000M-copperUpEnable1000MFullUnprotected2
GE61000M-copperUpEnable1000MFullUnprotected2
GE71000M-copperUpEnable1000MFullUnprotected2
GE81000M-copperUpEnable1000MFullUnprotected

And the LAG screen shows the following:

LAGLAG TypeOperational StatusActive Port MembersStandby Port MembersLACPOperationalLAG SpeedOperational Flow ControlProtected LAG
LAG 1eth1000MUpGE2, GE3, GE4 Enabled1000MOnProtected
LAG 2eth1000MUpGE5, GE6, GE7 Enabled1000MOnProtected
LAG 3       Unprotected
LAG 4       Unprotected

I would have expected to see the Operational Flow Control to be 3000M? Is there something that I am missing with this setup?

Re: LGS308 LACP/LAGing with a Synology 1515+

I think you are missing how a LAG functions under LACP.

Example: If you have 3 gigabit ports in a LAG you get a Load Balanced total of 3 gigabit throughput but any single connection will get 1 gigabit.

I think you could test by starting 3 different downloads from the Synology at the same time from the iMac.
