Re: LRT224 with IPSEC Problem - Not

Hi guys! Can you send us a screenshot on how you configured your client to gateway tunnel for both LRT and shrewsoft on your computer?

By the way, did you try to temporarily disable any computer firewall?

Knowing this is an old thread, but can anyone guide me how to connect to this using android/ios phones?

I tried many methods but the connections keep timing out.

On Android and iOS, the recommended VPN client is OpenVPN client. There is free OpenVPN client software that runs on Android and iOS.

Re: LRT224 with IPSEC Problem - Not

Hi Mr Chadster:

I need help on getting a configuration for client to gateway for IPAD / Android and 4 different PCs/ MACs. Mainly what we want is to do remote desktop to our servers.

I tried to configure OpenVPN but it is only working for TUN services and not for TAP. I have no idea if I can configure IPSEC to do the same.

Would you please try to help me on an Idiots guide to make this possible?

Thanks in Advances.

I don't think that TAP can be done at on the Android and IPAD devices.

OpenVPN support TAP on the PC and might work using Linux utilities on the Mac's. I don't recommend this because TAP will could be hard to maintain in the long run.

Using OpenVPN should work well for RDP connections. Since these are servers they probably have Static IP Addresses which you should use to connect your RDP otherwise you could have DNS issues connecting to the server. I've solved the DNS issues on VPN by entering the remote domain in the VPN's DNS Domain suffix for the connection. Granted I usually use a Windows Server RRAS for enterprise VPN access.
