Pinging through a tunnel?

I have 2 LRT214's.  On is on LAN 192.168.3.1 and the other on 10.0.0.1.  I have configured a basic Gateway to Gateway tunnel between the 2 routers, and it appears to be connecting.  I have not configured ant static routes.

I can do the following pings:

Router 1 --> Router 1

Router 2 --> Router 2

Router 1 -->  Router 2

Router 2 --> Router 1

Server 1 --> Router 1

Server 1 --> Router 2

Server 2 --> Router 2

Server 2 --> Router 1

But I cannot do Server 1 --> Server 2.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Pinging through a tunnel?

Are you ping using IP Addresses for the servers?

Re: Pinging through a tunnel?

Yes.  Server 1 has the subnet 192.168.2.x/255.255.255.0 and Server 2 has 192.168.3.x/255.255.255.0.

Re: Pinging through a tunnel?

Duh!  The Winows firewall was blocking ping requests that were not from its subnet.

Re: Pinging through a tunnel?

It happens, usually the firewall is disabled in servers because the hardware firewalls do that for them.
