I have setup 2 Linksys Velop units in my home network.
My setup is
Internet modem --> Linksys Velop --> 8 cabled devices
Linksys Velop - --> one caøed device
6 wireless devices (MAC book Pro, Mobile, Ipad, Apple-TV)
My Internet speed is 100/100 Mpbs
2 days after setup the WiFi speed was measured to be 90-100 Mbps both ways
After this the WiFi speed is lower than 50 Mbps both ways.
I reinstalled the Linksys Velop deivces again and got 90.100 MPBS both ways for 1 day. After that it was back to below 50 Mbps.
I use Wi Fi scanner sw on my Mac Book Pro and notice that when I installed the Linksys Vlopw Network I have 3 WiFi channels (1x2.4 Ghz 144Mbps, 2x5Ghz 866.7Mpbs) after some time this changes to 2 channles (1x2.4Ghz 144Mpbs, 1x 5Ghz 300Mbps).
When I try to restart Linksys Velop devices (power off/on) I only get 2 channels 81x2.4Ghz 144 Mpbs, 1x5Ghz 866.7 Mpbs). Have also used "channel finder" via IOS App without any improvement.
I do not get more than 1x5Ghz channel (2 channels in total) until I reinstall the network. After some hours one 5Ghz channel disappears.
I looks like a sw problem you have to find out.
I am trying out this product for 50 days and if I am not happy with it then I will return it.
So far I do not think that installing the Linsksys Velop in my Home Network have given me any improvement, frankly it is worse than before.

Hi, Lafjeld. That's a bit odd. To verify, have your tried to switch the nodes? If not, you may try that isolation. You may try to check the connection behind the modem as well, and check it's speed for wired devices.

I have switched the nodes without any improvement. I get 3 channels (1x2.4Ghz,144Mbps - 2x5Ghz, 866,7Mbps) for avout an hour. Then one 5Ghz channel dissapear and I have 2 channels (1x2.4Gz, 144Mbps - 1x5Ghz,866,7Mbps). After a short time the 5Ghz channel is setting down the speed to 300Mbps. I have use channelFinder many times and after each time I get 3 channels for some time but it goes back to 2 channels again (1x2.4Ghz,144Mbps - 1x5Ghz,300Mbps). When I have 3 ch I measure full speed (100/100Mbps), but now I measure only half speed (50/50Mbps). This and lower speed is what I get most of the time.
Just now I have 2 ch (1x2.4Ghz,300Mbps and 1x5Ghz,300Mbps). I also enclose result from speedtest (32.8/47.9Mbps)

I run the channel finder again now. I get 2 channels (1x24.Ghz, 144Mbps and 1x5Gz, 866.7Mbops).
When I run speed test I get 62.3/27.8Mbps after 6 run of the program. See enclosed

Thanks for trying out, Lafjeld. When you ran the speed test, did you disconnect all other devices that are connected to the network? If not, please try to do so and update us with the results. Also, please make sure that you're using the latest firmware version of the Velop.
